*BAMA BULLY RESCUE HAS NOT OFFICIALLY EVALUATE BUSTER, BUT A VOLUNTEER MET HIM AND THIS IS WHAT SHE HAD TO SAY: Buster is an unaltered male pit bullwhite with a few fawn colored spots on his back and face. He is BEAUTIFUL! He has a THICK bully headand needs to put some weight on, but is not starving. He currently is being cared for by a woman who has cancer and isnt doing very welland her friend, Jeannette, comes by regularly to feed him and such. He sleeps on a little sofa on her big front porch and is enjoying free run of the cul-de-sac and woods and lake nearby. He has a female border collie mix friendowned by the lady who has taken him inand they run and play well together. The neighbors have an old dog on their front porch, but Buster didnt even seem to notice him/her, even when that dog barked and barked. Buster greeted me with wagging tail and sniffs and was super sweet right from the start. He never jumped upnot even one timeon me or anyone else. He put his feet up on my van to look in the window where my children were sitting talking to him, but thats all the up he got. I did get my two older children out of the van with himthey are 5 and 3and I had them stand still, and then run and play around him. He was as CALM as calm can be with them! He sniffed and licked their handsand he sniffed their faces, toobut pretty much just stood by them and let them play. One time, I told my 5 yr old son to run around the cul-de-sac and the border collie girl started chasing him. As they were running back toward me (and in the direction of Buster), the border collie jumped up toward my sons faceand Buster calmly but assertively put himself between the two of them and nudged the border collie girl in a different directionappearing very much as to protect my son from her wild antics. I was VERY impressed! He let us pet him from head to tail and he came when we called his name every time. He doesnt seem to have an aggressive bone in his bodyvery submissive and calm and gentle boy. He will make someone a fantastic petand I would bet someone with children would love his gentle nature! He is a QUALITY dogand you can tell that sometime in the past couple years, he has had some type of loving! Has been checked for a chip and there is none. His teeth are VERY cleanand he appears to be around 65 lbs (give or take a little) and his agemaybe 3-5 years old? (Im no good at guessing that.) He has shown NO aggression at allno over food or water, with people or with other dogs. And while he has been happy living outsideI would suspect he would make a nice calm indoor pittie as well, so long as he gets the exercise he needs.
